The horrors of war become all too real in this stirring film based on the book by Cornelius Ryan. "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) boasts an all-star cast including Sean Connery, Robert Redford, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins and is directed by the iconic Richard Attenborough. Recreated on actual battlefield locations, the film is set in 1944 during Operation Market Garden as the Allies attempt to put an early end to the fighting by invading Germany and seizing several bridges.
