John Hart plays Dr. Frank N. Stein, who uses a rare surgery to repair wounded Vietnam veteran Eddie Turner (Joe de Sue) in the blaxploitation flick "Blackenstein" (1973). The surgery requires the use of his DNA to make Eddie's limbs functional, but the villainous Malcolm makes sure the surgery doesn't go as planned, inadvertently producing the Blackenstein monster. The monster goes on a violent, gory, murderous rampage, and seemingly cannot be stopped.
