Sex, drugs, and murder! "Blood and Black Lace" (1964) is a stylish thriller from Italian horror master Mario Bava, one of the kings of shock cinema. The 2-disc set centers on the murder of a gorgeous fashion model who is found dead in a salon that serves as a front for cocaine-trafficking and blackmail. After the model's diary detailing the illegal activities of the salon surfaces, everyone associated with the place - especially her drug-addled boyfriend - grow very nervous indeed, and the bodies start to pile up. Starring American Cameron Mitchell, "Blood and Black Lace" is an early precursor to slasher films made popular in the 1980s.
