Jack Cardiff was one of the most influential cinematographers who ever worked in film and this documentary examines the legacy of this great filmmaker. One of the first to truly master the Technicolor process, Cardiff worked with all the biggest stars and many are interviewed about their time spent working in front of his camera. Martin Scorsese, Kirk Douglas and Lauren Bacall are only a few of the celebrities who have something to say, not to mention Jack himself, who eloquently describes what it was like to work with Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn and Alfred Hitchcock.
