"Chris & Don: A Love Story" (2007) documents one of the literary world's great romances-the relationship between English novelist Christopher Isherwood and American portrait painter Don Bachardy. The relationship between the two men with a thirty year difference in their ages was shocking when it began, but the arrangement came to be more accepted and the couple remained devoted to each other for thirty years until Isherwood's death. Their extraordinary story is told through Bachardy's home movies and reminiscences of friends including Leslie Caron, John Boorman, Igor Stravinsky, Tennessee Williams and W.H. Auden.
