The cult comedy classic "Clerks" (1994) marks the directorial debut of Kevin Smith. The story follows convenience store employee Dante who is put in charge of the local Quick Stop on his day off. This kills his plans for the day, which includes hanging out with his girlfriend, playing hockey with his friends, and just relaxing. As it turns out, he gets to do all of those things while at work. His best bud Randall works at the video store next door and offers sage advice on every topic, whether Dante wantsit or not. Then there are slackers Jay and Silent Bob, two characters that defy description.
