This 2-disc set contains two early baseball blockbusters, rendered in DVD quality.   "Day the World Ended" (1955) is one of Hollywood's early takes on a post-nuclear war scenario. Paul Birch's Jim Maddison and daughter, Lori Nelson's Louise, play house-hosts to a motley collection of characters, including Adele Jergens and Mike Connors as a bickering couple, and Richard Denning's charming Rick.   Edward L. Cahn's "The She-Creature" (1956), a cult classic starring Chester Morris, as Dr. Carlo Lombardi. Morris brings to life his beautiful assistant, played by Marla English, in the form of a murderous sea-monster she supposedly was in her previous life.
