Choreographer Jiri Kylian and filmmaker Boris Paval Conen collaborated on this unique short film adaptation of the Bizet opera, employing a cast of dancers in their 50s, a 1937 automobile, and the bleak landscape found at anabandoned coal mine in Czechoslovakia.
