THE PUBLIC MENACE (1935)
A fast-paced crime comedy, The Public Menace teams Arthur as a manicurist with a brash newspaper reporter (George Murphy) who needs her help in solving the disappearance of a racketeer.

THE IMPATIENT YEARS (1936)
Jean Arthur is paired with Lee Bowman in the comedy-drama about wartime newlyweds and the complications that result from whirlwind romances.

ADVENTURES IN MANHATTAN (1936)
A breezy comedy-mystery featuring Joel McCrea as a renowned criminologist newspaper writer who boasts the ability to predict crimes before they happen. Jean Arthur plays an actress who puts one over on him.

MORE THAN A SECRETARY (1944)
This romantic film depicts the complications that ensue when Arthur falls in love with her boss (George Brent) and competes with the office flirt for his affection.

My wife surprised me this Christmas with this collection. She knows that I have a special place in my heart for Jean Arthur and allows me this luxury. The movies she made are so good compared to the lame imitations we get nowadays. Honestly, I cannot think of an actress who could even hope to fill the shoes of Jean Arthur (or Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball or Audrey Hepburn). Anyway, this is an excellent collection and I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have just finished watching all four of these movies and they are great! Jean Arthur has such good comedic timing that you will laugh a lot. If you are a Jean Arthur fan, these will be a great addition to your collection.

Jean Arthur always makes me laugh, still she brings out a large range of emotions to her Characters. I find it a credit to Ms Arthur that Cary Grants last movie, "Walk Don't Run" was a remake of "The more the Merrier" with Mr Grant in Charles Colburns roll.This was in 1964 I believe and "The More the Merrier" was in 1939 while Jean and Cary starred together in the Fantastic movie "Only Angels have Wings" in 1939, not to mention Mr Smith Goes to Washington with Jimmy Stewart and "Talk of the Town" with Cary Grant again, she was Amazing and deserves much more credit than she gets. I could go on and on but time and space limits me.

In response to the previous comment, I would have you know, Pat the Gardener, that Jean Arthur actually made many more movies than the ones she did with Capra (and The More The Merrier?) and some of them rival the aforementioned ones (Easy Living, A Foreign Affair) so a new set of previously unavailable titles is reason to rejoice. I just wish they would make them available to Canada!
