Horror master Tobe Hooper followed up his international smash-hit "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with this bizarre, gore-filled oddity about a motel-owning psycho holed up in the Louisiana bayou. Hooper's macabre spin on Southern Gothic involves the gimpy, scripture-mumbling proprietor Judd, played by Neville Brand, and the various motel guests - a hapless father searching for his daughter, a dysfunctional family, even Robert England in a bit role - who have unfortunate run-ins with his scythe before being served up as sliced-and-diced gator food. This glorious two-disc set includes a mint-condition transfer along with rarely seen archival materials and bonus features.
