        Comments about this product:

This is an excellent historical, biographical movie on Thomas Edison. I visited his second workshop and home in Florida, I think it was Fort Myers. I was amazed at the original light bulb, it was as dim as candle light!

This is his story when he was just getting started in his career as inventor. Spencer Tracy portrays Edison, top performance!

The cast includes Henry Travers and Felix Bressart as fellows in constructing inventions. Charles Coburn as one of the investors.

You get to see Edison get married, establish his first workshop in Menlo Park. Invent a teletype, dictaphone and (of course) the light bulb! NYC still uses Edison's electric installation for light.

If you read, you learn that Edison invented hundreds of items that we use today (improved). This is great movie to watch, not just as a learning tool, but for the dramatic story. I invite you to watch another Tracy film, I guarantee you will enjoy it.

        Comments about this product:

This disc was messed up in one place. Due to this, missed an entire scene in the movie. This is the second movie that I have recently purchased that was of poor quality. What can TCM due to correct this problem?
