Some of director Elia Kazan's finest works are featured in this collector's set. His first feature, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" (1945), is the story of a young girl growing up in the crowded tenements of New York. Peggy Ann Garner stars. Marlon Brandostars in "Viva Zapata!" (1952), about Emilio Zapata's rise from a small peasant village to Mexico's presidency. "Man on a Tightrope" (1953) stars Fredric March as the leader of a Czechoslovakian circus troupe whose business is threatened by communist rule. A Tennessee Valley Authority agent (Montgomery Clift) faces opposition while relocating residents in order to build a dam, in "Wild River" (1960). And "A Letter to Elia" (2010) is Martin Scorsese's documentary tribute to Kazan's legacy. Eighteen-disc set also includes "Boomerang!"
