It's hard to imagine more sheer dramatic power than the pairing of nineteenth century Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen and twentieth century dramatist Arthur Miller. They come together here in Miller's adaptation of Ibsen's 1882 play "An Enemy of the People." Staged for television, this production stars Emmy winner James Daly as an idealistic doctor who discovers poison in a town's medicinal springs. However, the town leaders will not give up the wealth and prestige they receive from the springs withouta fight. Broadway star Kate Reid plays the doctor's wife.
