"Tradition!" The beloved musical "Fiddler on the Roof" (1971) makes its Blu-Ray debut. Chaim Topol stars as Tevye, a hardworking milkman in a 1905 Russian village, who hopes his daughters make successful marriages. Many of the songs by composer Jerry Bock and lyricist Sheldon Harnick have become standards, including "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker." Directed by Norman Jewison, "Fiddler on the Roof" was nominated for eight Oscars and won three, including Best Sound, Best Cinematography and Best Adapted Song Score.
