Bill Paxton makes his directorial debut with this stunning Southern Gothic thriller starring Matthew McConaughey. On a dark and stormy night, McConaughey appears at an FBI field office and informs Powers Boothe's agent that he knows the identity of the infamous "God's Hand Killer." What follows is a tragic story of madness and family loyalty as a widower (Paxton) informs his two young sons that he has had a vision and God has commanded them to destroy the demons that walk the Earth in human form. While the older sibling is certain his father has gone insane, the younger is more easily convinced and so the killings begin. Expect the unexpected in this masterful suspense tale, compared to the works of Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King.
