Catherine Deneuve stars in director Raoul Ruiz's French drama, "Genealogies of a Crime," (1997) the story of a lawyer who never wins a case but decides to represent a man that everyone else has given up on. Based on the true story of Hermine Van Hug, a 1920s psychoanalyst who labeled her five-year-old nephew a murderer before he had even committed a crime, the film follows Deneuve's character as she represents the nephew as an adult when he is accused of killing his aunt. Will she be able to defend the man and finally win a case?
