      Comments about this product:

I read "The Killer Angels" when it came out in paperback many years ago. I remember that it was like reading a movie, it was that visual. I have read that the movie is too long but it is about a 3-day battle; that there were too many speeches, but it is about a time when people talked differently than they do no. I liked the musical score. I liked (really liked) the performance of Jeff Daniels as Colonel Joshua Chamberlain. I thought that it was Oscar-worthy. Sam Elliott as General John Buford, the Union officer whose troop placement during the first day established the good ground that the Union would command during the war, and Richard Jordan as the doomed Confederate General Armistead also stand out. Richard Jordan's death scene is haunting because he would die before the movie was released.
