The relationship between widower cartoonist Dan Dailey and 10-year-old son Billy Gray is tested when Dailey falls for Broadway star and next-door neighbor June Haver. Gray decides to sabotage his dad's comic strip when he is neglected, but a friend steps in and tries to convince him that the new couple's relationship is a change for the better.
