Description
Based on a true story, Jeffrey Hunter plays Guy Gabaldon in "Hell To Eternity" (1960), a raw, brutal tale of bravery and determination in WWII's hellish Pacific Theater. Gabaldon was a Mexican-American kid who was adopted by a Japanese family in L.A. -- as a Marine, his fluency in Japanese helped him persuade hundreds of Japanese soldiers on the island of Saipan to surrender. Hunter is unforgettable in this too-strange-to-be-fiction tale of WWII.

      Comments about this product:

Very informative true story. Interesting background information on Gabaldon being raised by Japanese family and how it affected him during his military service.
Didn't much care for the 10 minute or so party scene - didn't think it offered much to the overall story line. However, it did not affect my overall enjoyment of the movie.
