Before he was Spock he was Monk Baroni. Young Leonard Nimoy stars in his first leading role in "Kid Monk Baroni" (1952), the story of a young man in a tough in New York's Little Italy who seeks a better life by becoming a professional fighter. In this dark story, Nimoy traverses the seedy underbelly of the professional boxing circuit, finding romance, carnage, and redemption. "Kid Monk Baroni" also stars screen legend Bruce Cabot ("King Kong") and Jack Larson (television's first "Superman").
