No one knows the exact reason for the frequent revival of "Melody for Three" (1941), based off of RKO Radio's "Dr. Christian." Whatever the reason, it has been a success and continues to entertain with its tale of a general practitioner and his attempt toreunite a boy with his family. Schuyler Standish plays Billy Stanley, a young violin prodigy who has been caught up in the middle of his parents' divorce. Dr. Christian makes it his duty to reunite the boy's music teacher mother, played by Fay Wray, andfamed orchestra conductor father, played by Walter Woolf King.
