The director of a Viennese riding school tries to rescue his beloved horses from the encroaching devastation of World War II in "Miracle of the White Stallions" (1963). Disney's stirring historical adventure stars Robert Taylor as an Austrian colonel willing to stop at nothing to protect his beloved, white Lippizaner stallions from Russian invaders. Co-starring Lilli Palmer, Eddie Albert, James Franciscus and John Larch as General Patton, "Miracle of the White Stallions" was the second film from Arthur Hiller, who would go on to direct such hits as "Love Story" and "The In-Laws."
