Comedian Bob Hope shines in this double feature of two classic comedies. "Monsieur Beaucaire" (1946) is an extremely funny farce in which Hope stars as the barber to King Louis XV. Hope's affair with the chambermaid sets off a sequence of events which start with him and the maid both being banished from the kingdom. "Where There's Life" (1947) is yet another hilarious story where Hope plays a long lost heir to an East European kingdom. Pretty soon he is being followed by assassins and greedy women who pursue him to no end. "Where There's Life" is an extremely entertaining film filled with interesting plot twists and pleasant surprises.
