Description
Audrey Hepburn has never been more "loverly" than in this breathtaking musical extravaganza that won 8 Academy Awards in 1964, including Best Picture.

In this beloved adaptation of the Broadway stage hit, Hepburn plays a sassy, working class London street vendor, whom an arrogant professor (Rex Harrison) attempts to turn into a sophisticated lady through proper schooling. But, when the humble flower girl blossoms into the toast of London's elite, her teacher may have a lesson or two to learn himself. Hepburn's performance, style, and sweet spirit have made My Fair Lady a timeless classic.

            Comments about this product:

My Fair Lady is one of those classic movies that never seems to go sour. Some of the songs are ear worms, but hearing them again remains a delight. And if you haven't noticed Rex Harrison doesn't actually sing -- he chants.
            .
The story itself is a great twist on someone making it up the ladder from poverty to the upper levels of society. It is a times funny and at others touching. My favorite is "Get Me To The Church On Time" but my elderly mother loves "I Could Have Danced All Night". I think what saves this movie is that it is not a sticky gooey romance. Instead it is a rather improbable change in station that we want to believe is possible and expertly leaves us cheering the happy ending.
