Are you mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore? Sidney Lumet's satire of what makes television tick has never been more relevant than in today's reality show-saturated landscape. When the televised nervous breakdown of veteran newsman (Oscar winner Peter Finch) draws record ratings, network executives Faye Dunaway (Oscar-winning Best Actress) and William Holden race to capitalize on it. Oscar winner Paddy Chayefsky's darkly humorous, sometimes harrowing, screenplay hasn't lost its edge since the movie's 1976 premiere, and the film remains a must-see. Supporting actress Beatrice Straight also won an Oscar for her work.
