Night Beat DVD
Former silent screen star Jack Mulhall makes one of his last appearances in the early talkie "Night Beat" (1931). Mulhall plays a gangster whose former World War I Army buddy-turned-lawman Walter McGrail, asks for help rubbing out rival gangster Harry Cording. McGrail has been trying to nab Cording in a legal manner, but now he'll use whatever means necessary. Complications set in when Patsy Ruth Miller becomes involved in a love triangle involving Mulhall and McGrail. A true Depression-era gem.
