A pickpocket finds himself in possession of top secret microfilm and on the run from feds, crooks and Communists in this 1953 film noir. Richard Widmark plays a small-time crook hoping for a big score, and he gets it when he pulls the purse of the unsuspecting Jean Peters. The two wind up together and in harm's way as they're pursued by foreign forces trying to get their hands on the microfilm's secrets, and by local officials desperate to keep the secrets under wraps.
