Produced and directed by Don Letts, the documentary "Punk: Attitude" (2005) chronicles the history of punk rock in the U.S. and the U.K. The film explores the rise of the punk movement through the artists and bands that redefined music and style of the 1970s. Based on the idea of non-conformity, punk later exploded on to popular culture. One of the most interesting facts from the 2-disc set "Punk: Attitude" is that several bands who pioneered the genre believe that punk died when bands started referring to themselves as "punk."
