This collection of forgotten TV mysteries includes "The Hobo Millionaire/The Warehouse Murder," the only surviving episode of the 1949 series "Armchair Detective" which encouraged the audience to try and solve the crime. "Sherlock Holmes: The Man Who Disappeared" (1951) was a pilot for a proposed series of Holmes adaptations. John Longden starred. A journalist (Edmund Lowe) is on the hunt for a counterfeit jade statue in "The Deadly Curio," a 1951 episode of the series "Front Page Detective." And, "Meet McGraw," a 1954 installment of "Four-Star Playhouse" that led to its own series, followed a private eye (Frank Lovejoy) who gets mixed up with a mobster’s wife (Audrey Totter). 100 min.
