In this sequel to "A Man From Snowy River" (1982), Tom Burlinson and Sigrid Thornton reprise their roles as Jim and Jessica, the star-crossed lovers from Australia's rugged highlands. Jim finally returns home to claim the woman he left behind years ago. While Jessica is still in love with him, her father, played by Brian Dennehy, has not changed his mind about the young man and remains steadfast in his opposition to their marriage. Meanwhile, an arrogant banker's son has stepped in as possible suitor to whom Jessica's father is more than happy to give his blessing.
