One of American's greatest leading actors is paid tribute in the 6-disc "Robert Mitchum: The Signature Collection." Otto Preminger directs Mitchum and femme fatale Jean Simmons in the smoldering noir "Angel Face" (1952), while "The Good Guys and The Bad Guys" (1969) features the star as an aging sheriff in a rapidly changing Old West. Mitchum stars in director Vincent Minnelli's western melodrama "Home from the Hill" (1960) and he romances Jane Russell in the exotic potboiler "Macao" (1952). The lantern-jawed movie icon plays a roving sheepherder in Australia in "The Sundowners" (1960) then heads to Japan to take on organized crime in "The Yakuza" (1974).
