A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...no one was laughing at "Star Wars." Now, "Robot Chicken" mastermind Seth Green directs this affectionate animated spoof of the six-chapter space opera, in which Luke Skywalker (voiced by Mark Hamill) losestrack of his own backstory, Darth Vader laments the Death Star's destruction by the "Aluminum Falcon," and more. Also stars the voices of Ahmed Best, Donald Faison, and George Lucas. 23 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: English, French, Spanish; featurettes; audio commentary; deleted scenes; photo gallery; behind-the-scenes footage; more.
The warped minds at Adult Swim's ROBOT CHICKEN take their demented sensibility to the holy grail of sci-fi epics, STAR WARS, in this hilarious special. Jaws will drop as Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine trade "yo mama" jokes, George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln battle it out with lightsabers, and Darth Vader sobs on the telephone. But the show really hits it's stride when riffing on the franchise's supporting characters, including bug-eyed Admiral Akbar (promoting a delicious breakfast cereal), the rowdy barflies at the Mos Eisley Cantina (a couple of architects out for a tragic after-work drink), and of course Jar Jar Binks (thank you) Voice: Hulk Hogan, Conan O'Brien, James Van Der Beek, George Lucas, Joey Fatone, Donald Faison Creator: Seth Green, Matthew Senreich Running Time: 23 minutes.
