"She Shoulda Said 'No!' " (1949) is a melodramatic warning against the evils of marijuana. The star, Lila Leeds, was arrested at a party for using the drug and made this movie a year later to clear her name. Leeds plays a chorus girl addicted to reefer who sells the drug to her friends with dire consequences. Once arrested, she cleans herself up and becomes a police informant. This unintentionally humorous film features the screen debut of character actor Jack Elam.
