Description
In autumn 2006 the Rolling Stones gave two concerts at Beacon Theatre in New York. Here, in the 2,800-seater old Broadway theatre that opened in 1928, we encounter living legends Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts. Before an enthusiastic audience that includes Hillary and Bill Clinton, the Stones present their hit songs as well as less known numbers. Guest appearances include Christina Aguilera, blues legends Buddy Guy and Jack White.

    Comments about this product:

    If you like one or more of the following:

    Classical rock;
    The pinnacle of "classical" rock, that is, The Rolling Stones;
    Live performance filmed;
    Musical documentaries;
    Great cinematogrphy;
    The often brilliant direction of Martin Scorsese (Marty's brilliant here);

    Then you must get hold of this film from 2008. It's as simple as that; just get it and you'll get it in another way, no doubt. If you're not a boomer and you don't know why the eternal hoopla around The Stones, this will show you why. Jagger once said a long time ago that with his generation of music, rock had nowhere else to go except the way of imitative variation after variation. [I'm paraphrasing Mick.] You'll get the truth of this as well.

    OMG! is this a gem!
