Disney's "Snow Dogs" (2002) features Cuba Gooding, Jr. as a successful Miami dentist who finds out that he was adopted when he is leashed into traveling to Alaska for the reading of his birth-mother's will. He finds out that along with his mother's property, he has also inherited her sled dogs, which he decides to race in the grueling 400-mile Arctic Challenge. But the real challenge becomes how he handles the rambunctious team, particularly the alpha dog, aptly named Demon. The action-and the dogs-move at a swift pace, especially during the hilariously disastrous first run. This doggone, heart-warming film also stars James Coburn, Nichelle Nichols, and Sisqo.
