Director/co-writer Stuart Gordon brings a morbidly comic edge to this grotesque, stranger-than-fiction tale based on a true incident, in which a grossly impaired nursing student (Mena Suvari) celebrating on a Friday night drive plows into a homelessman (Stephen Rea). Over the weekend, Suvari wrestles with her conscience while Rea remains trapped in the shattered windshield, bleeding to death in her garage. Russell Hornsby, Rukiya Bernard co-star. 85 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks: English DTS HDMaster Audio 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English (SDH), Spanish; audio commentary by Gordon, Suvari, others; featurettes; interviews; theatrical trailer.
