Taxi Driver: Collector's Edition DVD
SKU ID #315349
You know a film matters when every single compilation of "the best of Hollywood" includes a scene from that movie. With "Taxi Driver" (1976) that would be Robert De Niro's striking "You talkin' to me?" monologue. As the lonely taxi driver, De Niro's Travis is equal parts of compassionate protector and downright scary stalker. The object of his affection is young street walker Iris (Jodie Foster), who Travis is convinced needs saving. Martin Scorsese's unrelenting portrait of New York City street life is a marvel in filmmaking. Watch for outstanding turns from Harvey Keitel, Cybill Shepherd and Peter Boyle.
