          Comments about this product:

Alfred Hitchcock, the so-called "Master of Suspense," is undeniably one of the greatest film directors of all time--an artist and an auteur whose themes and personal visions permeate all of his films. This collections contains four: 1941's "Suspicion," 1951's "Strangers on a Train," 1953's "I Confess," and 1956's "The Wrong Man." I do like some better than others--"Strangers on a Train" is one of Hitchcock's best, for example, while I would put "I Confess" as only middle-Hitchcock (which is pretty much great-anyone else)--but they are all fine films. My problem is the packaging. I own four "TCM Greatest Classic Films" sets (including this one), and two of them--the "Hammer Horror" set and the "Romantic Comedies" set--came as double-sided disks in which the two disks were not touching (separate sections in the DVD case). In my two other sets (this one and the "Murder Mysteries" set), they were all on top of each other. While double-sided disks are kind of annoying, the one on top of the other format makes the disks more susceptible to scratching.
