Bob Hope stars in two of his earliest screen roles in this high-spirited double feature. "The Big Broadcast of 1938" (1937) stars W.C. Fields as an inventor of a high-speed ocean liner who races across the Atlantic while hosting some of the decade's stars of music and comedy. In his screen debut, Hope croons his signature song "Thanks for the Memories," while the film also features Dorothy Lamour and Martha Raye. In "College Swing" (1938), a university's fate rides on the graduation of daffy Gracie Allen, with Hope serving as her tutor. Allen performs an Irish jig, sings a duet with Edward Everett Horton and briefly pairs up with her showbiz partner George Burns. Also featuring Martha Raye, Betty Grable and Jackie Coogan.
