Considered by many fans of classic horror to be one of the best of all time, this sequel to "Frankenstein" (1931) again stars Boris Karloff as the Monster. Coming directly after the events of the first film, the Monster pushes Dr. Frankenstein, played Colin Clive, to again play God and create him a mate. Elsa Lanchester is unforgettable as the doctor's newest creation in this brilliant horror sequel.

    Comments about this product:

Worthiest of the UNIVERSAL horror films. Totally original and one of the most influencial films of all time. Influenced not only horror films but every film noir ever made. The B&W cinematography of John Mescall is amazingly expressive in every shot of the 75 minute film. James Whale's direction is simply spectacular as is his pacing. The performances from ALL are incredible. It is also an amazingly subversive film. How it got thru the HAYS' office censors at the time considering the themes involved still surprises me. Franz Waxman's GROUND breaking music score is also one of this composers' finest (and he did many other wonders). MARIO BAVA's B&W films and his cinematography surely 30 and 40 years later is under this influence and equally impressive in his use of camera movement, light and shadow and contrasts in the grey scale. The amazing sets and Ken Strickfaddens' amazing sets in the creation of the bride is still astoundingly imaginative and I can't believe no one else who loves this great film has posted a review of it. SEE IT NOW and be amazed.
