This biting social satire became an instant cultural phenomenon. Dustin Hoffman is Benjamin Braddock, an aimless college graduate who begins an affair with one of his parents' friends, the much-older Mrs. Robinson, played by Anne Bancroft. When Ben falls for Mrs. Robinson's daughter, played by Katharine Ross, he must contend with Mrs. Robinson's attempts to sabotage their relationship. Mike Nichols directed this classic coming-of-age comedy, which features a brilliant Simon & Garfunkel soundtrack.
