John Cassavetes directs the gripping crime drama "The Killing of a Chinese Bookie" (1976). The story revolves around a proud strip club owner who fears losing his club after losing a bet to the mob. Since he doesn't have to money to repay, he is offered a task in order to clear his debt. He accepts the offer to kill a rival bookie, but little does he know it's a set-up.
