Sixteen years after winning the Best Actor Oscar, George C. Scott returns to play one of his most memorable roles, that of General Patton. This follow-up to "Patton" (1970) delves into even more detail of the general's illustrious war career and tumultuous relationship with his commanders-in-chief. It was President Eisenhower who took exception to Patton's spirited defense of ex-Nazi government officials. The result was to strip Patton of his command and leave the general without an army. Broken but not beaten, Patton still manages to instill a sense of honor and integrity in all who meet him.
