    Comments about this product:

This is a great movie about people trying to make
a life out of their lives and doing it imperfectly
like most of us. It echos the time of the early 50's
    with great authenticity.....I know because...well
I had some of the same experiences.

        Comments about this product:

I live about 30 minutes from the town the movie was filmed at. I have been to the old jail house which is a museum now, and they have exhibit of this movie. The author of this lives in that town and has a few bookstores there. Larry McMurty, what can one say about any of his works. They are all great. This movie was excellent. Although they call it by a different name, Archer City, Tx is the real name, and it still has the old day feeling just like this movie was made. The construction company that helped with the set is still in business after all these years. The sequel is not as good, but still worth seeing too. I love this movie. I have always liked Jeff Bridges and Cloris Leachman. KUDOS to this one, and well worth seeing over and over.

          Comments about this product:

Some really great performances. When Tim Bottoms drags Billy off the street, heartbreaking scene, I don't think even Olivier could have done it better. The nude scenes were a little creepy, but overall a fantastic film, reminiscent
of French films from the late fifties.

          Comments about this product:

I love to see this film when I want to be reminded of my teenage years in the Texas panhandle. This is a fantastic film, that I can see real people in each of these characters. I actually did see the closing of the picture show in a small West Texas town before going to the army. WoW.... What a movie.
