This zany comedy features Don Knotts at his most endearing. Knotts stars as Abner Peacock, the struggling publisher of a bird-watching magazine. When he brings in partners to help him stay in business, they promptly change the format to a girly magazine. Abner protests, but soon finds himself as an improbable sex symbol as the spokesperson for the publication. Abner's life is turned upside down, but he begins to enjoy his newfound status, until he realizes where his heart truly lies.

    Comments about this product:

This is a 1970 comedy staring Don Knotts. The supporting cast is Anne Francis, Edmond O'Brien and James Gregory.

Comments or scenes that I liked are below.
Who did all the bird calls for Don? Lovely. Don loves bird watching and publishes a magazine, called "The Peacock".
A stranded magazine publisher, Edmond, of sexy girly magazines needs to get the right to mail his stuff again. He buys Don's rights and sends him to the Amazon jungles to find a rare bird.
Upon Don's return, Anne Francis is chief editor and an underworld gangster is the financier. To distract Don, they give him a penthouse with 3 pretty gals to pal around with when he wants to go out. Hugh Hefner, he is not, but plays his role and begins to like the attention. He is mature man that is a virgin!
Soon, Don longs for his hometown girlfriend while Anne tries to keep the illusion up. Did he or did he not have illicit sex with Anne? His future father-in-law is the minister of the town!

I quit here before I give the ending away. If you like 1960's type sex comedies, where nothing is going on but suggestion, this is your type of fun. Does Don marry his sweetheart?
