An Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece

James Stewart and Doris Day give magnificent performances as Ben and Jo McKenna, an American couple vacationing in Morocco, whose son is kidnapped and taken to England. Caught up in international espionage, the McKennas' lives hang in the balance as they race to save their son in the chilling, climatic showdown in London's famous Royal Albert Hall.

    Comments about this product:

Most critics say this is the best version of the 2 films Alfred Hitchcock made with this title. I have to agree. Doris Day and James Stewart give excellent performances in this rare thriller with a heart. Hitchcock made great use of Day's singing talents by using the song as a pivotal part of the story. The song went on to win that year's Oscar for best song. Day should have been nominated as well, the scene where she is given sedatives upon finding out her son has been kidnapped is pure acting genius.

      Comments about this product:

"Que Sera Sera"... what became one of Doris Day's signature songs is one of my favorites and came from this remake Hitchcock film. Doris Day and Jimmy Stewart are both excellent in this film by the "Master of Suspense" Alfred Hitchcock. Doris and Jimmy seem like a real married couple while watching this, and the boy who plays her son Hank is also believable. Although, in my opinion, not Hitchcock's best film it is very good and I like the comedy that's mixed into the movie on top of the suspense. A movie that is well worth viewing. Doris looks beautiful as always.
