Another masterpiece in the oeuvre of the Oscar-winning Coen Brothers, "The Man Who Wasn't There" (2001) stars Billy Bob Thornton as a discouraged barber, who finds renewed hope when a man (Jon Polito) comes to town seeking investment in his new dry cleaning business. Filmed in black and white, the story is filled with an array of kooky characters including the barber's cheating wife (Frances McDormand), her slimy boss (James Gandolfini), a fast-talking lawyer (Tony Shalhoub) and a virginal piano prodigy (Scarlett Johansson), weaving an intricate tale of violence, blackmail and murder. Also featuring special commentary from the Coen Brothers and Thornton, deleted scenes, interviews with the cast, a making-of clip and various set photos.
