Altitude isn't the only enemy in "The Mountain" (1956), a one-of-a-kind action adventure directed by Edward Dmytrk. A plane crashes high in the Alps and a man, played by Robert Wagner, convinces his retired mountain-climbing brother, played by the impeccable Spencer Tracy, to get back on the mountain and go with him to claim the fortune that surely rained from the sky with the plane. But when they discover there's a girl still alive, the battle with the elements becomes a battle between brothers as they each fight for what they believe.

    Comments about this product:

This was the perfect gift for my 80 year old Mother. She had seen the movie when it first came out in the 50's and remembered it as one of the better movies for Spencer Tracy and a young Robert Wagner. I enjoyed it for my first time after we received it at home. Glad to have it in our film library.
