Kick it with martial arts star Jean-Claude Van Damme's directorial debut, "The Quest" (1996). Set in the 1920s, a New York City kid fleeing the cops ends up on an Asian bound ship and is captured by a swarthy pirate, played by Roger Moore. Hoping to turn a quick profit, Moore sells the boy to a kickboxing training center on a remote island, where the youth is prepared for an epic international competition in Tibet. James Remar, Janet Gunn and Aki Aleong round out the cast of this gripping fight flick.
