Widely considered to be Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece, "The Seven Samurai" (1954), is a brilliant, stunning epic. Set in 16th century Japan, the story follows a group of farmers who employ samurai warriors to ward off soulless bandits. Takashi Shimura plays the noble samurai warrior who brings together a team of swordsman to protect the village and teach the farmers to defend themselves. This 2-disc set's bonus features include two audio commentaries and a documentary on the making of the film.
